Abilene High School is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in building a competitive program that reflects our athletic and activity core values of commitment, effort, and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student-athlete development and contributing to a positive team culture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the head coach in planning and leading practices, games, and offseason workouts.

• Help develop players’ skills, fundamentals, strategies, and game awareness.

• Model and reinforce our core values of commitment, effort, and teamwork.

• Build strong relationships with student-athletes and promote academic accountability.

• Assist with communication to players, families, and school staff.

• Help manage equipment, uniforms, and game-day logistics.

• Collaborate with the coaching staff to support a vertically aligned program from youth through high school.

• Uphold all school, district, and KSHSAA policies and expectations.
