Abilene High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate leader to serve as our next Head Softball Coach. The ideal candidate will exemplify our athletic and activity core values of commitment, effort, and teamwork, while fostering a positive, competitive, and growth-focused program. This is an excellent opportunity to develop student-athletes on and off the field and build a vertically aligned program in collaboration with our formed youth teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the high school softball program, including practices, games, and offseason development.

• Promote a team culture built on our core values of commitment, effort, and teamwork.

• Develop practice plans that emphasize skill development and strategy.

• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, staff, and administration.

• Collaborate with youth coaches and programs for alignment and athlete development.

• Ensure compliance with school, district, and KSHSAA policies.

• Organize logistics such as scheduling, equipment, and transportation.

• Oversee assistant coaches and delegate responsibilities appropriately.

• Support athletes academically and personally.

• Represent and promote the program within the school and community.
