Abilene Middle School in Abilene, KS is seeking a Head 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach for the upcoming 2026–27 school year.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Teaching the fundamental skills and rules of basketball.
2. Helping players make consistent improvement individually and as a team.
3. Collaborating with the Head 8th grade coach and high school coaching staff to ensure program alignment and consistent terminology.
4. Organizing and working with other middle school coaches to create structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate practices.
5. Communicating expectations and pertinent information clearly with players and parents.
6. Overseeing and supporting the assistant coach on staff.
7. Demonstrating passion and commitment to building a basketball program aligned from 3rd–12th grade.
8. Modeling and instilling our core values of commitment, effort, and teamwork in all aspects of the program.
9. Being a positive team player who values contributing to and strengthening the Abilene Boys Basketball program.
